A stairlift has a seat for an ambulatory person, follows the rail along the staircase, and requires a usable staircase. A platform lift is a vertical lift that transports the person (standing, seated or in a wheelchair) directly from one level to another, without a staircase. Ascendor platforms (PicoPorte, UnaPorte, Liftboy, StepSaver) are ideal for wheelchair users and height differences up to 4 metres.

Ascendor platforms support up to 300 kg depending on the model. PicoPorte and UnaPorte are designed for manual and electric wheelchairs, StepSaver and Liftboy also support up to 300 kg. All platforms are CE-certified and comply with the European Machinery Directive.

Yes. Several Ascendor models are designed for outdoor use — corrosion-resistant materials (aluminium), weather-resistant coatings, temperature range -15 °C to +45 °C. The UnaPorte is particularly suited to outdoor use, up to 4 metres of height.
