Care Insurance: the steps for your stairlift
In Luxembourg, Care Insurance may contribute to a technical aid after an individual assessment. The equipment authorised and any amount covered are specified in the AEC decision.
Eligibility conditions
- Significant and regular need for help with transfers
- Help required for daily movements
- Difficulty accessing or leaving the home
- Problems with level changes
- Persistent dependency, minimum 6 months
- Permanent, definitive or irreversible dependency
Minimum duration
Your state of dependency must persist, in all probability, for a minimum period of six months, or be irreversible.
Coverage tailored to each application
After the assessment, the AEC determines the appropriate technical aid and level of coverage. Any remaining amount depends on the selected solution and the decision issued. MPG supports you with the home visit, quotation and administrative steps.

Medical report
Your doctor fills out the R20 report, this report is free for you.
Two quotes
Present at least two quotes. Ours is provided free during a home visit.
Send the file
Send the complete file to the National Health Fund.
What not to do
Never purchase technical aids before receiving AEC approval. The law does not provide for retroactive coverage.
